A library is provided for inmates to use. In addition, books may be sent to inmates. These MUST BE PACKAGED AND SENT THROUGH A LEGITIMATE ONLINE SELLER, such as Amazon, Books-A-Million, Thrift Books, etc. Inmates are allowed three books in their property totes, and five books in their personal property stored in the facility’s property room. Any books over that amount will be donated to the detention center’s library. NO HARDBACK BOOKS OR SOFTCOVER BOOKS WITHOUT A GLUED SPINE ARE ALLOWED. An example of a book with a glued spine is a typical mass market paperback. Any books that do not meet these requirements will be returned to the seller. Also, NO MATERIALS INCLUDING STAPLES WILL BE ALLOWED. |
